Nutrition is so much more than the calorie or nutrient content of food.  It is giving your body the nourishment it needs rather than feeling deprived or eating foods you don’t enjoy.

I am a licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Connecticut with over 20 years of blended experience collected from working with all age groups and in various settings including medical nutrition therapy, mental health, and preventive medicine.  I have a master’s degree in public health and hold additional certifications as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Intuitive Eating Counselor.  Using both my clinical nutrition knowledge and concepts found in mindful/intuitive eating, my approach to nutrition is holistic and individualized. 

 

I work with people that are tired of following fad diets and feel uncomfortable in their bodies.  I truly believe in the positive impact good nutrition can have on our health and well-being.  However, current diet culture promotes fad/restrictive eating habits that can cause harm to our minds, as well as our bodies, by clouding the innate wisdom that is embedded in our natural relationship with food.  

I teach people how to listen to their own internal cues and fully nourish themselves so they can feel their best.  Whether you have a chronic condition or just are confused from all the mixed nutrition messages, I will help guide your towards developing lifelong habits while rediscovering the joy of eating deeply nourishing food.
